Product Description |
| Stockmar crayons are made of non-toxic and sweet smelling beeswax. Long lasting and brilliant in color, they are a favorite for parents, children and schools. This set of eight block crayons presents endless artistic possibilities. Place the crayon on one side and draw endless skies with a single swoop. Use the edge to print letters and numbers.
Stockmar wax crayons meet the highest artistic standards. Through the addition of pure beeswax as a binding agent, the light-resistant pigments display their purity and full brilliance. Because they are mixed with wax, the colors are able to be used in a wide range of interesting coloring techniques - more than any other coloring material. The natural transparency of the wax and the lack of additives result in a high degree of opacity like that of watercolors.
Luxurious set includes one block crayon in each of the following colors: carmine red, vermilion, orange, golden yellow, lemon yellow, yellow green, green, blue green, blue, ultramarine, violet blue, purple, rust, yellow brown, black, white. Made in Germany. |

If you've never used beeswax crayons

| Okay, I thought these hip little beeswax crayons were going to be amazingly better than crayola's. Not really so. Unless softened and warmed up a bit one will actually have to push quite hard to get any color. I do like that they are natural and sturdy -the squares are virtually impossible for little hands to break. If money isn't an issue and the heater is always on, go for it. |
Dog Owners Beware! Intoxicating to My Dog

I bought these partially so I could leave them at kid level without worrying about little pieces breaking off/rolling on the floor and getting lost. Well, my Miniature Schnauzer, who would chew up a round crayon once in a while if it were left on the floor--thus my interest in nice crayons that don't roll--is OBSESSED with eating these. Especially the light green. After 4 attempts he has eaten 1/2 of it. SO much for the set of crayons I thought we'd be able to have through my child's entire childhood. I know it is not a flaw that can be blamed on the maker. I just wanted to advise other dog-owning parents that this could happen with you too due to the materials used. It definitely smells a lot more like food to my dog than the cheapo ones did.
These are nice crayons. The shape is good for my toddler to use. They do dull a lot fast than I expected, not having used beeswax crayons before. They're softer than Crayolas. Also, though I like not having wrappers, it is a little hard to distinguish between some colors once you get to the 16 pack. |
